Seriously though - this has to be the BEST bargain I have ever had!!!

Spotted it on boats and outboards on Saturday - Quicksilver 310 with Suzuki 15hp 4 stroke - it has been used 3 times only!!! Bought just a year ago. Came with the wheels and fuel tank etc.

Brilliant quality and goes like a dream - 25mph on GPS - very dry ride - couldn't belive how little fuel it used - £2 for 2hrs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Main reason I bought it was for the engine - will make a great aux for my proper RIB.

Bloke had all the receipts and everything - still under guarantee - he was onlk asking £1200 but I paid a little bit less than that!!!

I wonder how well the 15hp will propel my big RIB??? Hopefully be able to use it for pottering around - may save me some fuel.

Baby RIB(alright SIB)will be great chucked into the back of the car to go to the med etc - would have been great in Gib last year!!!

If only it was still summer I would be temted to go to Guernsey in it - or is that a little too ambitious???

Is it long or short shaft?? You're gonna need a bracket if its short shaft to get the prop below the hull!!

Short shaft - now I have my new lathe I will probably make something up - manual screw jack type thing - normal outboard brackets seem too flimsy on a RIB!!!

There's a couple of dats every year when that would be a doddle in flat calm, you just need the fuel range!

Congratulations on your new SIB. Sounds like you're having fun already

Keith Hart will be proud of you codprawn!! - surprised he hasn't noticed this thread yet infact

In the pics you have posted, that slipway looks very familiar indeed - maybe 500metres down river from me.... East Llanion per chance?

If you answer yes to the above, was it a chap from Neyland you bought it off?

Spot on with the place - that's the beauty of this boat - just chuck it into the car and away to go - takes about 15 mins to assemble and 10 to put away - great!!!

Bought it off a bloke in Birmingham - he used to live in Poole - Solihull couldn't be much further from the sea!!!

Got to say you live in the BEST boating area anywhere!!! Stunning sheltered waters with no speed limit and no hassle. River is 300 feet deep in places!!! Would love to live there - some stunning houses with their own moorings.

Apparently Captain Cook said Milford was the joint finest natural harbour in the World - the other was Sydney!!!

£1200 or less.........

.............bloody bargin. I've had several sibs and have regretted selling each and every one, that said I was doing to turn a buck so to speak. I'll keep the next one if I ever get around to buying one.....spending most of my time researching MLM at the momnet. Anyone else into it ?

nice one

i have the 340 airdeck version with a 15 yam 2 stroke, couple of tips

if you dont have an electric inflator then the ones in argos or cheap shops that cost around 7 quid are great for inflating most of the way up and deflating to make it easier to get in the bag thing

i also propped mine up to 12 pitch and it goes like stink, slower out of the hole so to speak but i get excellent cruise and top end

also wheels are vary considerably in the impact they have on towing and moving and dragging up beachs, i got the most expensive ones with bent curved arms which put the wheels under the boat when down and they are amazing

my engine a 9.9 but converted it to a 15 for 30 quid

had a bombard tropic which was not very good in comparison and also have an ax3 as a tender

dont let bass touch the floor or tubes as they will make tiny microscopic holes in it for you!!!!!!!

in meva this year we came across a shark longer than the boat by around 1-2 foot each end, but did not have camera or phone to capture the moment...

we should get together for a trip to france in our sibs, ;-)

I've got the opertunity to purchase a Quicksilver 310 with airdeck, and wheels, and Mariner 4hp. Whole package only used twice so its in excellent condition. Bloke wants £600 for it. What do we think?

Wish I had gone for an airdeck but the wooden floor is getting easier every time I set it up - makes the boat really solid and has to be heavier duty than an airdeck!!!

Was hoping to go out today in it but weather not as good as they promised - maybe Sunday!!!

I also have the HD wheels and they make life so much easier - ESSENTIAL fit in my opinion!!!

£600 is a VERY good deal - same boat as mine - still think my bargain was even better though £1050 for a Suzuki 15hp 4 stroke AND the boat - bloody bonkers!!! Really was only used 3 times before I had it!!!

Already came with one - got a stirrup type pump for £7 from our local RANGE shop - also a bellows footpump for £3.50 - local Yacht chandler wanted £25 for each pump!!!

Remember my engine will also need to power a 9m RIB - maybe 2 different props in order!!!

As to a trip to France - maybe one day - Thames is looking promising though - easier to get it to London than a big boat!!!

Got to be quick - it was bank holiday weekend when I saw mine for sale - had to go to cashpoint just before and just after midnight - then called into 6 Tesco stores to get £50 cashback each time - then striaght up to Brum to pick it up!!! Said he had about 10 phone calls whilst I was on my way up to him!!!
