new arrival

Picked my new boat up in Hull on Friday, here is a picture of the first launch on Saturday ( no-one can call me a fairweather boater, it was bloody freezing chugging around at 2000 revs). I'm not convinced the photo will be any good I seem to have had to reduce it to crap resolution to meet the pixel sizes!!!!!!!. Will have the boat out on the Milford Haven Waterway this weekend, if anyone is out and about give me a shout.

Give me a clue then, I tried to attach the image but a prompt told me it was too big. I reduced its size and saved it on my hard drive and used the browse to define the location. Another question how come people post really clear images and by the time I reduced mine to an acceptable size it looked rubbish?

Use the pixel size to modify your image not the actual dimensions, it will appear fine on the forum even if it looks poor on your PC. I think the max. size is 550 x 420.

The pictures were taken in Milford Haven just upstream of the Neyland Toll Bridge. There was some lovely sheltered water to play on. I ventured much further down the Haven later in the day and the difference in the few mies was amazing. The rougher water was also good fun but in a completely different way. It must have been rough in the Haven the only other boat I saw in my several mile trip was the Pembroke to Rosslare Ferry.

Sounds like you need to team up with Alex Brown for some Milford Haven RIBing.

As for not seeing any other craft... you get used to that once you've got a RIB and it's blowing more than F4!
