If it is a Pro 530 there is a difference between that boat and a Hurricane which confuses a lot of people. When Zodiac first started building these they were built at their "Hurricane" factory in Canada and had a capacity tag on them that said Hurricane at the top. It is almost identical to a similar model that was built by Hurricane but there are some differences. For one the tubes are about one third the price of the Hypalon hurricane tubes, however there is a set of Hurricane tubes that fits perfect if you can find a nice used set.

I am looking at putting an A-Frame on the back of my Pro 530 to hold a light and GPS antenna. I also want to hang several airline hoses at times for some one water work I am doing, weighing maybe 15 lbs a piece. Anyone have experience on what a single pole 2" A-Frame attached to the transom can handle for weight hanging on it's sides? Also, anyone know where I can get a Pro 530 manual, or copy of one?

I built my a-frame and I can stand on it without it bending or even flexing. I integrated it with my leaning post for the rear console. I need to get some photos up on this board as it turned out really great.

I'll have to dig for it as I am currently in the process of moving but I do have a copy of the original owner's manual for the pro 530. I'll try to get a hand on it and see if I can make a digital copy of it.

I'm sure that one would work fine, just remember though, all the weight will be on the transom and not distributed very well.

Here is a better picture for you. Yes, I did the two more legs so that it can be used as a bench seat, with fuel tank underneath as well as a leaning post for the driver. That way you don't waste all the space behind the seat. Notice the motor well when it's tilted up. I will have hanging bags underneath the hinged seat for storage....people can sit on the bench sideways as well with feet on the tubes.

Very Nice! I wish I had the shop you do. I just purchased an A-Frame online and hope to get it pretty soon, though we still have snow on the ground!

I have not purchased anything for the boat in years when I added a removable T-Top.

I also made a seat / fuel tank to save a bit of room. The seat cushion has a pull out safety cushion and the top flips up for some storage above the gas tank.

Now with the A-Frame I am adding, it will help keep some equipment out of the way and off the tubes and floor.

I like the T-top. I was thinking about adding an upper frame to my console that I built and running some bars back to the a-frame for a long T-top....That way it would be very rigid and I could add curtains for a much warmer ride....everything in front of the console will be dive gear, tank racks, etc.
