New Cam

Hi all
I bought a Gopro Hero Wide Camera to muck about with.
It comes with loads of different mounts (helmet, sticky , suction cup and a few others) so I peeled back the sticky tape and mounted it on the A Frame. I also tethered it to the ski eye just in case. Its very easy to use, just turn it on and press the shutter. It records 56 mins on a 2gb Sd card.
I am very impressed with this little thing, the video quality is pretty good.
Here is some footage taken yesterday.

Hi Ian
I bought the helmet hero cam wide. I think all the new wide cams are the same inside, just with different accessories. I chose this one because of the wide range of mounting options.

Does it come with editing software? If not, may I ask what you use?

It doesn't come with any software. I used windows movie maker.
It's free and really easy to use.

Hi what size are the files?
you can put the raw files through windows movie maker and publish them to fit on a cd..if not you will have to burn them to dvd.

Hope this helps..

are you putting them on Youtube?

Hi Tony, I will look at You tube as not used it before, I copied the vid via my ACDsee system I think and copied it to docs file, think it is 1.8mb to copy. Would Windows movie maker be easier now?

Hi
It would have been easier to just put the memory card in a card reader and just "drag and drop" the file onto your desktop.I haven't used the prog you are using..
The file should be an AVI file which is playable on windows media player.
The video wont be 1.8mb more like 1.8gb which is about 1 hour of video.
After dropping the file on the desktop import into windows movie maker.
Then choose publish on CD. The rest is reasonably straight forward.

A video from Saturday, racing around with a Extreme 24 Powerboat. We were doing around 53 knots in most shots.
