new Console
I never really liked the console i fitted in the new build eariler in the summer, it was a console that i had bought for a narrower hull and i was silly to just use it rather than investigate options.
but i fitted it and then started to look at other options, i have had some recent dealings with Scorpion Ribs as a main client has one and i needed to get some spares for him and while i was down there i started chetted with the guys about their consoles and suddenly before i knew what i was doing i had placed an order.
The mouldoing is super and the laminating and finish is really nice, what you would expect i guess.
so i picked it up last week and it just fits in the garage so i have been fitting it out.....
i will let the pictures tell the story....

there is two recesses on the top aft of the screen and i have fitted 2 drinks cup holders in each side, i am still doing the drain system for these.
The layout was pretty tricky to sort, i spent a lot of time on the net looking at pictures so i could get it looking right, but i guess thats a matter of opinion.
i think it looks good and i spent hours sat in the console doing the cable runs..... always the area that can look shabby but i think the more you do the better it looks. i think i might be getter there but more practise required...
there is a central nav pole to be mounted aft of the screen in the middle of the top of the console, this holds gps, vhf antenna and a LED bi colour nav light, i made this out of carbon tube, think it looks pretty good compared to expensive stainless...

Compass would have gone were the nav pole is to be fitted!! I have not fitted a magnetic compass to my past two boats.... I'm normally always along the coast, but I guess the day the fog closes in and the plotter goes down I will have issues.....

Antennas and nav lights
Got the nav pole dry fitted so I can finish off the cable runs.
Then need to plug a battery into the whole lot to test all the systems.....

Very neat wiring. Will pay dividends to reduce failures from vibration.

And fitted.... At last
After a while I found the time and a break in the weather to get fitted. Quick trip to the island today and the new console width is great, massive shielding and a great height. I did break the nav pole so going to throw some more laminate at it, already got it off and glued back together and will put 4 X 200 gram RC carbon cloth on the join.

The iPad does not upload pictures easily on this forum.... I've worked too many hours this week to bother now, so. Wasted post.
If anyone can offer advise on uploading pics from iPad I would appricate it as I've always had issues..... Or is it a forum thing?

Broke around the base, I was going to email you, I can put some Laminate on it for you of you like, I should really, the spa bond doesn't do the job I was hoping!!
Just spent a while on mine trying to get it seem less, think I've got it sorted now.
Can do yours over the next few weeks if you want. Least I can do....

I dont mind. you done me a favor already with it. If you have any pictures of your repair I can probably copy it. It would be a shame to ruin the outside, id be much happier if i could laminate reinforcement inside or make a bog of microfibres and cabosil as an end cap then drill it out for access. Does the outside need beefing up?? Send me some pics
