I think the black and yellow stripes mean it is dangerous. Throw it back!

(They are a triumph of evolution. My son hatched some from eggs a few years ago! )

That is weird it has the same looks as a Port Jackson shark, markings are hard to determine out of the water. However they are only found in tropical waters which we do not have!

I think its a 'Horned shark' The cuttlefish we see regulary on the south coast in uk diving

Arh, Willk, are you implying that the picture may not have been taken in the UK? And down to our own assumptions we are on a merry dance.

Would be interested to know where that pic was taken to see if my fish diagnosis is infact correct which would make it Australia?

Shark looks like the horn sharks we have off the California coast. Size is about right as well. A hardened spur just in front of the dorsal fin(s) would the telling key, but I can't make it out in the pics.
