What is it with these.......

*?<>>** jetskiers

Here's me and several other like minded boaters enjoying a lazy saturday and sunday afternoon anchored in a peaceful bay when along come 4 of the aforementioned to**ers who have nothing better to do than blast between us at a great rate of knots kicking up a hell of a wake in their path. Can someone advise the fun in that ! They're worse than bloody seagulls

with my eight years of jetskiing behind me now
i must make a comment even when me and my mate were out on our seadoo xp limited i hated other jet skis being near me they are so dangerous we have
seen so many new bikes smashed up due to the riders being unable to control
them. most have no insurance or training with the new bikes reaching 215BHP
it worries the life out of me

Having recently seen ‘Mater and Commander’ I quite like the idea of a cannon and although I wouldn’t want to spoil anyones fun I like the idea of jointing in by lobbing the occasional cannon ball in there direction.

Bl**dy Jetskis

I was at the Mumbles (Swansea) with my dear old mum yesterday, and even she commented on the stupid antics of the jetskiers.......there were about 8 paying absolutely no attention to the clear signs that there are access channels to the slipways and a speed limit of 4kts inside the buoys.

Also some of the 'other halves' really shouldn't be standing on the bottom of the slipways with babes in pushchairs 'waving daddy off' whilst other poor users are desperately trying to launch/recover their boats on a weed covered slip........

Makes my blood boil!

Chill guys! they're only trying to enjoy themselves too....
still, if it all gets too much, try a mooring line tied between two A frames between two boats travelling side-by-side in the opposite direction of the ski boys at about 45 knots..... No? Okay I'm only kidding...

Oh....and MeMe? If the bay you were talkin about was off The Warren, then it wasn't the jet skis causing the trouble on Sunday ... just a couple of louts in RIBS....

Hi Daniel TD5

On Saturday i launched from Herne bay and the pic was taken up the swale just past kingsferry bridge heading towards queensbourgh, i'll be at Herne Bay this Saturday if you want to meet and go for a run, am planning to take a friend out and we'll probably head out to the forts if the waethers ok, if not stay closer to land, HW at Herne bay is 10:00am which i'll probably aim to be down there for 08:00, yes does get busy but esay to launch, easy parking and its only 5 minutes drive down the road for me..... anyway let me know if your interested.

Richard

Jet Bikes

Daniel,

I have had 7 ski's in 8 years and have never had any problem with boat owners. Maybe because i've had boats at the same time, there are to many rogues with ski's these days and 1 in 5 is only insured. ( since 2000 i have only had 155hp skis) so i do know what im talking about.

Richard.

PS: Only Yams will do!

After all that's been said and seen I gladly welcome the photos of non huge ribs. I think it's a missing step between the mega 8 m + ribs and the small 3+m like Mr Hart's.
Manos realized the same think that's why he bought a 4m Joker SIB last year. I suppose it's my turn now.
If any one here happens to know a deserted SMALL SIB somewhere at your garage, not larger than 3 m PLEASE give me a ring (sort of speaking) at mandr@tee.gr
