Hi beer belly not very keen on paying for digs when a tent cover all situations 🫢
Just rock up and pitch there’s nothing more satisfying than picking your window for the night
Hi Steve sure was a wonderful few days never seen the old laird when I was up but did keep an eye out [emoji6]
He’s like the black Perl hardly ever seen like a ghost in the night iam sure he’ll be along sometime soon [emoji23][emoji23]

Looks like Oban from the window from your lorry to me HH. Nothing spectacular about that so I presume you are romancing again

My photo of last nights sunset .. from a boat .. on the way home from catching 3 brown trout ..in a sea loch ..fishing with some friends.

A fine old Lady arrived in the bay yesterday evening and I was fortunate enough to be invited on board the boat the TV crew were using to film her crossing from Colonsay to Oban.

An absolutely wonderful experience. I will make my own video of the trip when I get a bit of time.

PS Waverley ..last sea going paddle steamer in the world

Great pictures Donny. I managed to get a quick picture of the Waverley when I was limping back to Largs with broken engine mounts on the Scottish Sib Outing with HH last August. I was concentrating so much on getting back to dry land I only took one!

Look forward to seeing the video.

Thanks Steve and I like your photo too.

Its her 75th anniversary this year and still going strong. Not bad for a boat that was saved from the scrap yard and bought for a pound. (Although cost many more since!)

She is off to Skye now but if the weather forecast for the weekend improves .. I hope to get back out to capture her going through the Correyvreckan

I raced her in my inflatable with 25HP outboard, around four of five years ago and she won that race.

However we ran rings round her yesterday in a fast Ribcraft with 300HP outboard

I would never have thought ... as a young lad being taken trips doon the water .. on her in the swinging 60’s ..that I would still be enjoying her in my late 60’s .. which is why she is so special to me and many others who have met her.

Back to normal sadly. Oban weather courtesy of the Met Office.

I'm hoping for a decent July in that neck'ish of the woods.
