Looks like a top day out Cork R.
You have the same engine as I have on my new RIB.
Has it been ok?

yes, great engine. I've had no problems with it. Started first turn of the key after 4 months lay up. I also find it very economical after coming up from a 2 stroke. I think the rev counter or sender is under reading though. full throttle is 7600 rpm!! Any ideas on setting it up or checking the correct reading?

It's not fair
Im begining to feel like that one out of the wacky racers that always had a thunder cloud over it, following it wherever they went.
Nice pics though.

think positive Gary. We are setting up a fund over here in order that we can pay you to stay away when the local lads want to go ski-ing or fishing

Jon,
Regarding the misreading rev counter, if your meters are the same as my own, then there is a switch on the back of the unit that is supposed to be set in a way to match your engine model. That rev counter can apparently be used for many different engines, even 6-cyl. I'll take a look at the documentation for my own to see the settings.
Alternatively, start a new thread in the Discussion section and you'll probably get an immediate answer.
Cheers,
Brendan
PS You can't beat Cork Harbour and beyonds on a day like Saturday/Sunday last...

Hi C. R
'Doesn't old Cobh look charming there, watching the wild waves motion, leaning her back against a hill and the tips of her toes in the ocean".
found that old scrap of a quote about Cobh...can't remember the rest, Cork Rib. 'The Holy Ground' is their National Anthem BTW.
