OT: USCG 47' MLB, Station Morro Bay

Morro Bay is located a couple of hundred miles south of San Francisco. It has a very large commercial fishing fleet. It also gets some pretty spectacular wave action, due in part to the narrow channel. It is considered by some to be one of the most dangerous harbors in the US. These are the guys who come out to lend a hand when needed.

Disclaimer: I have no stake in these pictures; just thought it was great photography of an interesting subject. I assume these were training pics (the CG seems to do a *lot* of training.)
