Phil,

It was a pleasure to have you on board. Next time on your rib cos I might be ribless till end of March

Had a few hours out today . A bit choppy sea and rather cold.

Quite a few hard boats went out today. Just shows that many share the same view "Why have an expensive toy and not enjoy it "

Great photos - looks jolly cold!

Whats the access like at Littlehampton - tide wise? I have just been looking at the charts and they indicate the entrance dries to 2-3m. Can you recommend any place to eat/drink?

I've just realised I have never been east of the Nab Tower so i'm planning to go visit Littlehampton/Shoreham/Brighton on my next few trips out.

have a look at www.littlehamptonport.co.uk here you will find all info as to the tides at Littlehampton.

Nice place Littlehampton and you will find the Arun View pub a good place to eat or you could venture up the river passed Arundel castle and have a meal at the Black Rabbit , mind you not the best place for mooring

yes you are correct about the the harbour entrance cos at low tide it dries out to even 1.9 mtr

whatever keep well away from Selsy Bill, best from Nab Tower head for Outter Ower then Littlehampton and watch out for the lobster pods on the way a lot between Bognor Regis and Littlehampton

about time you guys from the Solent area came our way

Andre

PS you can get fuel at the Littlehampton marina

Andre,

Thanks for all the info. I will try and get over when we get a nice weekend of weather.

The Solent gets awfully small after a while and it lacks proper waves. I'm trying to plan some trips further a field this year, places like Salcombe, as well as visiting more Eastern parts.

Regards,
Daniel

pls make sure you post the date of your future visit to Littlehampton cos we (and I for sure can speak for Phil as well in this respect) will come out as a welcome party and escort you into Littlehampton. We will then let you buy us a pint

Hopefully this will not be too soon cos I am now officially ribless.
The deal has been done. Will post photos of Seahawk II when available. Delivery should be end of March

Daniel,

Keep us posted on proposed trip - maybe be able to pop out from Langstone & accompany you. Will make a change from going out to The Nab & back.
