Great pictures. Maybe sometime we could organise a RIBnet cruise over there?

Lou, you wouldn't like it. Long cross channel journey, big tides, lots of locks, no marinas to tie up, no shops, closed on Sundays, full of foreigners, awful, best stay in the Solent.
That will be a large one please Richard,
Pete
On a more practical note, Phrateau, is there a marina or somewhere safe to moor up to in the City centre ?

Actually Paris is ideal for classy ladies like Louise.
Boss might lend out his Narrowboat too...

I've only been to Paris once but would love to go again. I was absolutely terrified by the traffic on the roads (especially the big roundabout near but not surrounding L'Arc de Triomphe - La Defense??) so thought RIB might be a better way to travel through the city of romance.

But surely if you've been there once why go again. There must be a hundred other places to go !!
(Come on Richard, we are all trying to help !)

I don't know why you're all trying to put me off! I thought this would be an excellent idea - you boys get to use your RIBs and the missuses get to go to Paris. Everyone's a winner!

It may have more to do with the shopping possibilities!
& the consequences on the bank balance

Louise
Place de la Concorde I think.
Piece of duff. Just point the nose of your car out and just go steadily forward at the pace of the "on-roundabout" traffic. Look straight ahead. Preferably have non-French number plates. Works every time. Never hit anything yet.

Nick, I'm more of a sightseer than a shopper!
Thanks for the info, Brian. I think my mistake was to look out of the side window - absolutely terrifying!

Battered LandRover 110 V8 with bull bars and side bars is great in Paris traffic - maybe the British plates help scare them off! It is an ex police one - do get some funny looks when the riot screen is down!
