Any new piccies Leeway? Would it be possible for you to outline the process for making a console or box without making a mould? I think it gets made in ply glassed over then finished in something flowcoat?
As you 'll have guessed I've not done this before!

Hi joakimhansson,
Thank you for the possitive post
we were very happy with the cabin on the shearwater and so are bembridge outboards its worked very well and the shearwater is a excellent cabin rib.
In answer to your question this cabin is not to replace the shearwater one, it is a much simpler design we will be using on our leeway ribs range.
more pics to follow

There will be a cut out in the deck for more internal space to accommodate the 2 berth space that can be transformed into a sitting area with space for a toilet as well.

Simon B,
There is a thread on this site were somone made a jockie console unit the same way you are surgesting i.e glassed over ply with no mould to be made. it might pay for you to read that thread.

We have done so much for other companies. we even supply seats and consoles to other rib manufactures...
we have made things for sunseeker, k4+, marks and Spencer, dysney and a few other not so well know companies.

Looking good.
Fascinating insight into a process I think many of us just take for granted without knowing the whole story.
Nasher.

after getting door and screen right there was a lot of filling and fairing to get rid of warps and bows in wood. them we give it a high build hard polyester surface primer (in this pic) this will sand off with long boards to get rid of grain patterns in wood.
