pics of how to build .....

hi all,
as most of you are aware we built the shearwater cabin and now we are building a new one so thought i would do some pics as it goes through the stages of being made. i remember doing the same for a console which a lot of you liked :0)

second pic is of all the dimensions cut out of paper to make a small model of the console to see how it will look.

please note the second pic was taken of the paper model quite a few days after built so is a little scrumpled after been sat on a few times lol

now we start the build in timber!! there area few ways of doing this. i find it easyer to build a frame first.

Actually Leeway is quite right, all the top designer/builders pre-fab in paper to check the look.

I once visited the Riva factory in Italy, and they had a full size 58 footer built in rice paper. looked great, but like Lee's, some fool sat on it! got all crumpled.
I believe they folded up another, but during testing it went a bit 'limp'.

why copy something that will not do a job intended??

im building a 2 berth cabin not a race console thats no good to man or beast.

not all our designs are done in CAD. depends on the type of job and who its for.

The result with the console on the Shearwater is excellent
