Polish warship ORP Torun off Cowes

Those brave ones who ventured out over the weekend into the Solent will have spotted the Polish warship ORP Torun off Cowes. If you do not know why the vessel had come to Cowes for this particular weekend please see this link : O.R.P B

We took the Fast Jet to Cowes and then I hitched a lift on "Solent Voyager" to take a closer look at the warship.

A pity about the weather as it is another washout

RIBase
We left Cowes on Friday afternoon and ORP Torun was moored off the entrance. I heard her talking to another Warship on ch16 on the Thursday so I think she probably arrived sometime late afternoon Thursday.

What's with the bow? Some sort of landing ramp or something?

Thanks for the pics.

Just to clarify, It's a ramp for landing on the shore/beaches, as opposed to a landing/take off ramp for aircraft

Good point Steve. Well said.

Did you manage to go to Cowes? It seems Adam did well. I was there on Saturday only.
