Biggles.

Some of yesterday WAS about fuel as Pauly had made some changes which improved Merlin's consumption significantly on a blast to the Isle of Wight!

It was beautiful out there and we visited one of the Seven Wonders of the
I. O. W. (not one of the 'Tims').

The first one was designed by Nick Eales, MD of Seastart - nice rib, goes like s*** off a shovel thru just about anything. The other is manned by Bob, senior engineer. If you look carefully, you can see his dog Murphy, a black lab, sitting on the engine hatch cover. He is a common site in the Solent when odnned in his dog's life jacket with Seastart emblazoned on it.

This is incorrect, this boat was taken from the Carson 7.5, originally designed by Barry Carson. Nick extended it!!

Sunday Cruse Round Pompy Harbour

Had a run over to pompy on sunday at a lose end as you might say
Tell me the jetty on the end of the submarien museum can you moor up there
if you want to visit
Did not look very inviting above the bridge so returned to main chanal
the RFA hulk moored mid way does eny one have eny information
about it
Had refreshments at the Bridge inn and and wached a rib lowerd into the
water with a large forklift very slick, so was the rib moored on the jetty below
looked like a pasco orange & gray with hot merc on the ass
Still only 2.15
Bembridge for a ice creem then home

We probably did the opposite to you Grumpy! Sounds like you went to Haslar which has visitor berths (Lightship and main marina). Also the slipway is public (above the bridge), but tidal. Nothing much to see.Gunwharf (across the harbour) is altogether more interesting (particularly if missuses are aboard!)

Didn't notice the Pascoe boat? We had a wander around Ryde ! Sunday Papers, sunshine, 'coffees' and a leisurely jaunt home.
