High speed towing test
I was northbound on the M5 yesterday afternoon near Worcester and spotted DM towing Ian's New Prosport. I'm not sure if he had left the MASSIVE Suzuki engine switched on because I had trouble keeping up !!!
It looks good Ian .

Either change of plan, or Ian won't be very happy when he arrives in Southampton to collect Black Jack tomorrow!

He'll be happy. Black Jack is sitting on a pontoon in Saxon Wharf having come over from Guernsey, via Weymouth, yesterday. Hopefully, it'll be moving to Pwllheli on Monday. The boat I was towing was Jonnos 6metre which also came over yesterday. It's working in North Wales today.
I did see a flash git in a Lexus waving at me but I thought he was objecting to the speed so I'm sorry about the two fingers, John.

WOW!!!!! what a RIB!!! Both me and my dad are well jealous!!!
Alright, I'm Chris Broom, I did the Level 2 course with PPT on the 6 & 7 march with the MVS. I had a great time, just wanna say thanks to jono dave + ian for a great weekend!!
Everyone is still talking about it!!! Some wont shut up about the Prosport RIB. Really annoying as I didnt get a go in it!!!
Tried to persuade my dad to buy Tru' Blu', but it wont fit up the path !!!
Will be over at Pwllheli later in the year with our RIB. Hope to see you (and the new boats) then!!

at least 6/8 inchs in it - should be a test of not getrting water in your tanks.
It was quite funny the transom was right down and water lapping over

Nice looking boat Ian, you definately need to get it down to Aberystwyth at some point in the not too distant future once easter is out of the way so I can get a weekend off.

All settled in now, in my nice little cottage in the middle of bloody nowhere. 2.5 mile bike ride to work, followed by a 2.5 mile bike ride back home at midnigt, great fun, specially when it pisses it down!
Back into quieter weekends now for a bit, so should be able to get time off soon.

End cone failure
Repeated failure of portside end cone has resulted in 'Black Jack' making the trip to Eurocraft for new tubes. This failure was repaired four times by three different companies after failing in 2006, 3 times, and again in August this year.
Eurocraft have quoted mid September for collection so here's hoping. Changed the tube fittings slightly from the original layout.
No names, but have been informed that the original tube material was an inferior one and had been sold by one disgruntled tube supplier to the tube manufacturer who produced the original set, this was not Eurocraft.
Three failures in 2006 made the season a dissapointing one but as this summer has been poor weather, and it failed again on a charter last month, I decided now was the time to get it sorted. I'm just glad it held out on the Round Anglesey run!
Photo's to follow when the boat is home.
