A fantastic weekend - A big thanks to Charles and Brian who did a lot of the planning.
A few of us met up along the way. "Bob" (
www.yellowrib.co.uk) I think travelled the furthest starting from Exmouth, he then joined up with Panther, Cyanide, Awsome at Torbay/Brixham and we headed down towards Plymouth. The weather was awfull! - As we launched at Brixham we got absolutely soaked! - but as we set off the rain stopped - but the seas stayed!. The big ribs, Cyanide and Awsome had no problem bashing through the surf, but for BOB and Panther the going was a little slower and a bit more bumpy! Even though these big ribs were close they kept disappearing behind a wave and in a trough! Anyway we all battled down the coast being joined by a racing Rib-eye Rib at Salcome.
I think the 40nm or so took us about 3 hours and we arrived in Plymouth about 1 - Time for lunch!!
After lunch we did a spot of sightseeing up the river (and worring the armed police launches guarding the Navy ships) - there were about 15 of us I think.
Here's a sample of the trip - I will post more tomorrow - (if my broadband is working then
)
Anyway - Thanks again Brian and Charles, and everybody else that made the weekend what ribbing is all about - fun!!
