Sea Doo Fun!
Just returned from an excellent couple of days of jet boat fun in Cornwall.
Launching from Mylor on Saturday, we visted Falmouth, then back for lunch at the Pandora followed by some general hooning around in a 60 mph fun machine

And finally... Saturday sun set at the blue bar, Porthtowan, on the north coast. End of a great day

While I enjoyed the pictures of the SeaDoo, I thought this site was dedicated to RIBs.????? This is the first time I've seen a hard sided boat here on Ribnet.

Ok, ok it's a fair cop. I stand guilty as charged. Enjoying my self on a hard boat and being foolish enough to post evidence of same. I am very sorry. I just like boats d'you see...
When considering sentence, I should also like to have a previous offence of chartering a Bavaria 35 yacht taken into account.
ps Nice to have you on the forum Phil & keep off the sauce there's a good chap.

It's not that it's a hard boat, it just looks as if Bart Simpson should be driving the thing! That baby's larey enough for the Mitchell Bros. You Guys need to hook up with Hugh Jardon, It'll be 'Bling on Sea' when you two roll into Falmouth in the summer!

well yes it is a rather larey looking thing but as brambles will testify a very fast jet boat handles very differently to anything else you will have riden, and they are very different in close quarters handling as they dont have a true nuetral - so brambles should be congratulated on his vast experience with different vessels, it makes for a safe skipper, i myself have sailed, had outboard boats and inboards from 5-10m - but the jet boat is by far the most fun, and you are also correct that it is predominantly a fair weather boat, but having been through the race of alderney and had green water come over the bow of a six tonne boat i am happy with that, and not to mention the fact that after two hours water skiing with my girlfriend it burns about 8-10 litres an hour, which in these days of ever increasing fuel prices i am also happy with - so there you have it - not so much bling but a compromise on fifteen years of boating - but heaps of fun.

I am with Brambles, got taken out in a jet boat on holiday. Amazing whizzing up a river at 30+knots and seeing the pebbles at the bottom. The howl of the Chevy V8 help to!
