Finally, in the "why hasn't this been thought of before?" section is the 6.5m inboard diesel from Delta.
This very cleverly puts a diesel into a 6.5m RIB without losing loads of deck space, and without making it massively stern heavy. The trick is to mount the engine low down, underneath the console, with a shaft connecting the engine to a conventional outdrive!
We have sort of seen this before in other vessels MST spring to mind but no where near as neat or compact large engine cover f'rd of console etc with raised standing area and covered jet unit also raised. Hats off to what should be a storming success.

The boats relatively quiet tbh, there is more than adequate ventilation to feed and vent the engine so you don't get the higher noise levels associated with the engine sucking air!
As for weight distriution she rides very well also. There is a positive buoyancy at the bow, giving a positive trim by the nose which is beneficial to the performance of the boat.
