Lovely looking Rib, I bet you won't sleep tonight. Launched mine for the first time three weeks ago and I'm still not getting to sleep because I'm thinking about the next trip.

Ooops...

Launching was interesting this morning - she didn't want to come off the trailer!! A bit of reverse (after checking that I really wasn't attached) sorted it out.

Getting her into the birth was also tricky - it's the biggest RIB I've tried to manoeuvre - but I managed not to hit anything and get it in on the 6th attempt. No-one laughed either (that I heard)!! We went for a quick potter and then returned - that only took 2 attempts. We'll see how I do tomorrow.

The best bit though - as we were heading out into the Irish Sea down the Fleetwood fairway, we stopped for a minute to sort out some kit that was moving around - and a seal popped up about 5 metres away!! Cool!! I wasn't fast enough with the camera though.

Nice Rib Dylan,

Planed to get over for your launch Saturday morning but the bed mugged me and dragged me back in .

Was over Saturday night and had a look, you only a few berths up from me.

Bet your not happy about these stong winds this weekend, if have you been out anyway.

We will have to try and sort some trips out.
May be out next weekend but depends if Im diving in north wales.

See you round,

Regards Gary

Gary,

Sorry, only just seen your post. We went out every day that weekend (not for very long) - but nice to know what the RIB can cope with!!

We were in Pwllheli all last week, and we will hopefully be putting the RIB back into the marina this weekend (18th/19th) - but I've got some minor repairs to do on the gel coat (ooops)...if I can get them done it time...

Let me know when you are around - a pint at Peel Island sounds like a great idea!!

Cheers,

Dylan...
