Just to prove that not all short cuts are as good in practice as they are in theory! After a long hard day beating into a F5 head on we decided rather that to go round Achill Island it would be much easier to go up the sound!!!! It might have been if the tides had been right. 3 hours later we made it up the 3 mile sound!
