I normally have my boat in the water on a dock 30 meters from my house (dock in the background) but I also have a Toyota pickup (and those are indestructible)... The Range Rover is still under warranty and there have been no issues except two destroyed rear tires within a week.
From watching decades of Top Gear I would have thought you English couldn't say a bad word about British cars but perhaps that has changed with Land Rover being owned by Tata? What vehicle do you use for launching?

(In the summer I drive German but it is good at other things except launching)

Just swapped out the Mazda 6 for my summer wheel. A 260hp Peugeot 205, with tow bar! Doesn’t go near the water though. Zapcat is hand launched.
