Did you extend the sides? The cutout looks deeper than normal.

Hi,
the first pic with the orange transom was cut to short leg 15 inches.
The last 2 pics taken yesterday , show the transom in 20inch for long leg.
The engine now is a 75 HP yam, which i fixed with on offset of 1 inch to starboard and the caviation plate in line with the keel.

Mike

part exed out old rib below for a new humber ocean pro. Larger family dealt the final blow to owning this rib for 13 years. What a boat, at the end it had a 4 year old 90 3 cyl optimax. Absolutely flew on flat water trimmed out. Years of fun and hope the new humber is half as good. Got 5k on part ex for it, the dealer got rid of it in days. Proves the popularity of them.

It was for sale on here for not much more than that through Ian.
Looked at it myself but the other engine he was going to fit sold before I got round to buying it.

Looked ok.

I think Jono started it?

Thats right, was part exing it against jonos/ians rib. Went for ians in the end as it had bigger console and engine. Both very helpful guys if after a rib.

Humber isn't as agile but sooooo much more seaworthy. Love it.

Very together mate - good effort, console looks good in grey, is it sprayed that colour or gel coat in the mould type thing?

New console out of the mould and glassed into deck. Surprisingly, it works out cheaper than screw and glue which I aint particularly keen on. Seen too many fall off.
