chaps,
good day had by all me thinks. Many thanks for the "best rib build" prize, what an amazing and skilfully crafted example of engineering excellence !
In my acceptance speak I kind of forgot to thank all those that were there and helped out with getting my boat on the water, so thanks all...you know who you are!
Thanks to Daniel for the escort home, what a great run that was. Flat sea and amazing sky!
Some of mike's pics:

What a brilliant day!!
Many thanks:
To Kathleen for pulling it all together (lovely to meet you)
To the IoW folks for their hospitality and the fine weather!
To 'my' JK for the company and helming while I played with my Son's (!) new video camera
To everyone for making the day a good one!
Here's a few pics - more pics and video to be uploaded shortly.

Got in about an hour ago- there was an accident on the m4 so had to divert.
That was fun. I still feel like I've been beaten up
That's a hell of a pic of my boat

These kind of put your 'submarine' award in the history books (until next time!).

Here's a quick edit of the best bits of video I shot yesterday (Google Video as file size too big for YouTube).
If it doesn't play from the link then paste the following directly into a new browser window (I had some problems as well!);

great vid, glad you captured a couple of my wet moments. I think more gas was in order but the double wake of that container ship was deceiving |

Actually ....
I did this almost on my own, but youngest son did provide a bit of advice on the effects with the Vipermax.
He says he's going to do "a proper one" when he feels like it (so don't hold your breath!!).

Andy,
Nice vid. Very creative with the soundtrack. Can't wait to see the Hi Res version. Vipermax must get the award for best actor tho'. That was some fine blasting across cargo ship wakes. What did his missus think
