A magical place right enough..but rona was an island too far today for me in the guppy. Did 64 miles..and used 8 litres of fuel though.
Got round scalpay.. Longay..papay..crowlin isles.. Up rassay but waves force me to cross into portree till squal passed..then got as far as the stor..and bearerig bay.. Was going to cross to raasay gain..but again wind got up.
Will try again tomorrow..but a more direct route this time.. Is your boat parked in portree ? I might ha ve seen it this morning..enjoy the break..i am

Enchanted Isle is not the willkcraft... its a charter/ferry boat that operates in the Hebrides.

Ah... you made St Kilda... and walked up the hill! Well done. You've been super lucky with the weather this last week, long may it last for you.

Yup..today ..i thought i was in a dream sliding across the glassey sea from lochalsh to rona and back..landing on every single island in the area. No sign of the willk mobile anywhere..but st kilda is definately an island too far for the guppy.
The factor had no sassages for a gurnard..but i found a trophy on a very remote beach..a whale vertibrae bleached white..about a foot in diameter..either that..or the cows that made the sassages you recommended..are huge
Enjoy tomorrow too willk.. The winds are to come back on monday..so i will be home then

Day 5
Another day, another string of islands. We've now met our own trail so to speak...

That looks like a fantastic trip.
I like the way you organised it during the good weather.
Did you ask that postman fella in Donegal when you should go?
