Err...... i think they might have punctured & deflated ? Why the hell did they launch the liferaft ? There is a perfectly good rib on thier boat they could have launched , and one on the stern !
Looks like the stepped hull stopped it sliding back into the water ! I knew they were usefull !
I completely classless bit of helming - try explaining that one to the boss - I didn't see the launch as I had my eyes closed .

As its Gibraltar, my reading of the pictures would be a delierate ramming/intercept, of the fast rib doing some sort of illegle run to/from Africa. I may be wrong ...
Will be keeping a close eye on customs auctions for the rib though, looks nice

Both boats seem to have blue lights on them if you look closely!

Am no expert, but I think the blue lights in the second picture, that appear to be on the "beached" rib, are on the A frame of the rib in the back of the customs boat??

Is the notch in the rib hull a design feature? As in stepped hull? If so how come they caught it?
Wonder what engines have now been submerged at the stern?

I think any rib enthusiast has to visit Gibraltar and have a look at the boats of local regiment! They are all confiscated from the ex smugglers and believe me they are all extreme pieces of art!
The Spanish coast guard used to have big bore softball shooting cannons (handball size and balls not that soft!) to break the engines off from the transoms and I will not be surprised if the bad guys are using super inboards nowadays
