The Best Laid Plans of Mice and Mull

Hi again Guys ...

The first part of a Mull Adventure that I had been planning for several months. It was to be a four day trip.. but as with all small boat adventures .. Especially ones planned for dates well in advance .. the weather dictates and can make even the best plans meaningless.

You will have to return to find out what happened .. but if you enjoyed the first part..Im sure you will enjoy the rest of the story.

I have still to edit the movie clips so there will be a delay before posting the next episode.

Best regards
The Gurnard

Great video Donny as always... very much looking forward to the latter events in the next part though!

Jeff S your outfit is so well balanced for all the work you've done with the forward console etc... moves through the water really nicely.

Hi again Guys ..I had a bit of a delay getting part two ready as Windows 10 decided to take several hours for an important update. Its playing havoc with my mouse as it now has a mind of its own.

Anyhoo.. Part Two is now here

I will post Part three once I set a mouse trap to capture the dirty wee rodent running around my computer screen.

For those not familiar with the Island of Mull ..here is a quick map showing out route on the first Video.

Thanks for commenting and glad you enjoy it 69cmw, Jeff, and Gazzago ..its appreciated

Fenlander ..thanks fir your kind words too.. and I can confirm Jeff has a lovely setup and it went beautifully. Im almost tempted to try a ply front for mine. .but I need the console in front of me to keep the camera equipment dry and easy accessible .. so think I will stick with my tarp canopy up front for a while yet.

HH and Jeff ..thanks to you both for your company.. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The videos will let you see how I saw things shape up.. and will bring back good memories at a later time.

Hi again guys .. the mouse has now been trapped. I had to disable the touch screen drivers and all is well again as I didn’t use the touch screen facility of the monitor. Of course Microsoft blame the computer hardware.. and Lenovo blame Microsoft .. such is the way of things.

Here is part three ... and still going according to our initial plan.

Hey PD thanks for commenting. If you asked Ali or Jeff ..they would tell the truth..Im a grumpy old git. However my liver is a legend to me. Last year I hardly went out in a boat due to it going faulty. Modern medicines and getting regular blood treatments have given me a new lease of life and Im making the most of it. I love the NHS staff .. they are the real legends in my stories

Hi 69cmw Charlie Spartacus and Gazzago ..thanks again for commenting ..its good to know folk watch my video witterings and enjoy them.

Neil .. Im especially happy you enjoy this adventure. Most of the inspiration for it came from the day that Tony and yourself kindly took me round Mull in your RIBs. It was in May too. I will never forget that day. My sincere thanks to all who were on that adventure too.

Good on you doing the trip in Sibs.

I had a couple of attempts at getting into the cave and it's really quite narrow just at the entrance.
There's a lot of surge both in and out of the cave and across the mouth of it as you approach in a swell and I really didn't fancy my chances of getting back to Oban with a burst RIB.
