The Shed - it's a bloke thing

The Shed. Yes, it's a bloke thing. Here is my shed/garage in Scotland. Quicksilver is in bed for a couple of months. The Mariner is polished and serviced. I have not hung myself (look by the engine) it's my neoprene waders!

Sheds are great. Don't you just love poking around a shed/workshop/garage. All those bits and bobs of boaty things.

Now here is a REAL great shed. This is my mate Charlies shed. You remember Charlie. He's the one who fixed my unfixable boat pump. Here he is bullying it into submission. At this stage he was just working out what to do with it. After I went home the pump succumbed and he got it to work again.

Is this a great shed or what? What Charlie hasn't got in his shed isn't worth having. Here he is attaching my pump to his mini tractor to see if it is working. Just look at all that fantastic stuff!

Right then, here is some boaty stuff. Can you see the original 2hp Seagul engine, the 8hp Yamaha and the Johnson? I tell you there is some great stuff in there.

And here is the view from Charlies shed. He built the boat himself. Okay it's not a RIB or SIB but he made the ruddy lot himself, including the mould.

Charlie is a good mate to have for a chap with a SIB just a couple of doors down.

Looking at those great shed shots you guys do live seriously close to the sea, it would be rude not to have a boat!

Kids.

Keith,
My 12 year old just saw your mates shed and wants to go there for next summers holiday to rummage around. How much does Charlie charge and can he take a family of six ?

I should think you couls 'loose' a family of six in Charlies Shed.

Anyway those who come up for 'The Great Orkney SIB Expedition 2003' can have a grand tour of Charlies Shed.

and my shed/garage

this is a photo of part of my shed/garage in Greece.
The Range Rover brought it from the UK 7 years ago, is 1987 model and still goes like a horse.
Gets my boat in and out of any type of beach or slip.
