The Solent and the adventures of Merlin cont
Afternoon to you all
Somebody must be looking after me, again we had some days off (Thursday and Friday) and again we had some great weather.
We were again stopping in the Langston Hotel at Northney, which is idea as it only takes us an hour from home and is very handy for the Marina where the boat is.
Thursday afternoon, we launched the boat and off we went, to Beaulieu, followed by the Hamble, then Portsmouth, then Langston Harbour and then home to Chichester habour. Averaged about 25/30 knots and just enjoyed being away from the Office. We saw a few ribs out
Friday, we decided to have a trip to the Needles and I think everybody else was as well, again it was perfect conditions. Altogether over the two days we logged about 165 miles and as ever no issues.
We did make one cock up at Sparks Marine, basically it was a demo on how not to moor up a boat, but there you go, you live and learn. My rule for teaching is that if you are going slow enough the effects are minimal.
One job coming up soon will be complete new hubs for the trailer, which I don’t think I am going to attempt
