TOP Cat, the return. Thanks Henshaw and Sanders

With artificially over inflated prices for the next boat in my market and a couple of silly offers for the old girl, I decided it was time to show her some love.

ALthough heavily denied Scorpions seem to suffer with aged tubes, mine having lived on the water with no overall cover all its life wa no excpetio

Prices to tart the old tubes up varied and were not a guarantee the tubes would look pucker. The existing tubes were delayering and looked like an OAPs skin. probabably due to excess weather exposure and and maybe an incident with highways agency a couple of years ago.... SO i bit the bullet.

Thanks to Chris at Henhaws and Kev. They had the chance to make a huge amount of money out of me but instead did everything in their power to make sure I got the tubes i wanted at a fair price. Entirely proffesional and spoon fed me the whole way explaining every aspect and option and staying open on special occasions JUST for me.

now the colours dont match it was off to sanders sails in Lymington..... New seats and foam, some additional cushioning to what Scorpion install and more bum space created to allow a proper sitting position. Seats not all fitted at this stage. New fixings for rear seat as it used to jump overboard with nobody sat on it... STUNNING STUNNING craftsmanship from Sanders

I am not taking a chance on the tubes this time. I detest the Scorpion covers, they show the dirt, they have cheap blue rope hanging from them and most are not suitable for use on the water. The local boat yard that deals with all the dry dockers pointed me in the right direction of the overall covers that excel and last on the ribs in their yard.... and the bonus was it was cheaper. So Sanders stepped up again!!!! Out of the whole refit so far I think I am happiest with the overall cover, its a masterpiece, able to be towed, left on boat on water and put on from on board, hooks on rubbing strake yet has an extended skirt to cover the tubes beyond halfway and an additional shock cord below for a non blow about fit. Additional fixing eyes to tie down in extreme weather and
Access is easy via rear zip and double poppered zip protector....

Oh i cant find the pics right now so you will have to wait

I doubt very much the colour is much different. Having a bit of clean boat OCD I have spent hours walking round boat yards inspecting other ribs to see how they show the dirt, even quizing owners on cleaning techniques.

Military Grey seems to be the colour to have........
