Trip from Troon to Lochranza, Isle of Arran

Took a trip from Troon Yacht Haven over to Lochranza on the Isle of Arran on Saturday to do a bit of mountain biking as well as have a play out on the boat.

Couldn't have picked a better day for it weather was great...shorts an t-shirt when on the mountain bikes.

Have attached a few pictures, left Lochranza and cycled up over the hill to Laggan Cottage then back around the coast to Lochranza. The part of our trip from Laggan Cottage back to Lochranza i would not recommend as we had to walk climb alot of it which with a mountain bike isn't the easiest. Next time i will follow the Arran bike clubs route and from Laggan Cottage go down to Sannox then back up the road to Lochranza.

Still a good day out.

Fantastic day wish I was there!

Who owns the pontoon that your rib was on? Is it free to use?

It must be the council who have put it in...it has an honest box at which asks for £2 for 2 hours or £5 for the day it does say no over night moorings.

Is really hand to use for day trips.

Jonathan, your revenger looks rapid in that second pic! It looks a good, fuel efficient package. What sort of Top speed / fuel economy are you getting from the boat? Are you's any further ahead with a retrofit suspension seat yet? I hope it in the pipe line, it sounds ideal!

Robbie, Yea she goes pritty well have managed 49mph out of her if cruising at about 35-36mph showing it would use 10gallons and hour on the gauge or up that to 42-45mph and looking at 12-13gallon an hour. Iv found it to be a very good boat just nice size of boat for ease of towing but big enough to still be good in a rough sea.

The retrofit seats are coming on we will have them finished and tested ready to launch at the Ribex show this year. I will keep you updated and send pictures as soon as done.
