Valiant DR 450 '09

Hello all,

For the last months, I'm using ribnet for information to buy myself a new rib. Last week, my new rib arrived. I've chosen the Valiant DR 450 rib, with S-5 console and seat.

Over 2 weeks, my new rib is ready to go. I'm really happy with it, so have to show some pictures here. :-)

When the rib is finisht, I will post some new pic's. Comments or questions are welcome!

console for Valiant DR 450

Hello
I am interest in your choice of console to the Valiant DR 450.
I was thinking of the same console for my boat.
Can you take some more photo of the boat?.
Will the S5 consol use to much of the spase?
The S4 looks to smal.

This are the pictures of the console I have at the moment. The S4 console is, in my opinion to small for a 450, I've had it on my 2001 Vanquard 400, wich fits great. The S5 console on the DR 450 fits very well. The distance between the console and the tube is almost 30cm wich is more then enough. Maybe it don't look like much, but in reality, it turns out better than expected.

On what kind of boat do you wanne mount the S5 console?
If you want, I can make more pictures. Let me know what pics you need.

Maybe I have an small video from the boat, if I have it, I will post it on Youtube. I will let you know.

Valiant DR

I have been looking for a Valiant DR 450 colore grey with S4 center console and 50 hp.
Or a Zodiac pro 9 man with center console and 50 hp.
I think that the Valiant will be a better choice when it comes to handeling coastal sea.
Is there a difference in the V shape of the hull on a Valiant DR compare to the Vanguard?
My third choise is a Valiant DR 490 with a 60 or 75 hp.( and center console S5 )
What is the speed on your boat? and how is it to handle?
The S5 console looks god on your boat. Do you have some pictures from the side?

There is no difference between the shape of the hull from a DR 450 or Vanguard. I have also looked to a Zodiac Pro 9, but the V-hull is more flat than the hull from the Valiant.

The speed of the boat is 34 knots on the mechanical meter from Mercury. Tomorrow, I will look on my gps for the exact speed. I can make also more pictures from the side.

About handling, I've used it one time at the moment, but it feels great. Can't tell you more at the moment.

Do you have pics from the boats you looking at?

But i think that it will be a DR 450 with console S5 and mercury 50 EFI.
Or a DR 490 with console S5 and mercury 60 EFI.
