Amazing connection speed - took me 1min 30secs to download the biggest!!!

Unfortunately I couldn't play either of them - says I don't have the right codec - don't normally get any trouble - I have most known to man!!!

Not sure mate , I posted these on the upcoming cruises forum and a few people downloaded with no snags . I assume you are trying to play with Windows Media Player?

Perhaps try downloading direct from the website justlookingadventures.co.uk .

It's not a download problem - it's a playback problem.

Just tried the lower res ones and they are fine - it's the way the high quality ones are encoded - what did you use?

Codprawn, just Pinnacle studio compressed to Windows Media (Medium or High Quality) Pal (same technique for both .wmv file).

Matt, can I assume the high quality one worked? If so only Codprawn appears to have any snags.

Hi All,

First post here so please be gentle with me

Nice videos, I too had problems at first, got a message saying I needed a

Windows Media Video 9 Advanced Profile (WMVA), but I ended up installing Media player v11 which sorted it - hope that's of help.

Nice meefing you all (virtually)

John

Fantastic Vids reminded us of trips out with our two daughters who look similar in age to your two and who enjoy themselves just as much We think your youngest lad has a lot in common with our youngest daughter! She was very impressed with his solo act at the start of the Harwich vid!

I think I saw you that day... we also launched at Levington and went down to Stone point.. was that you playing in our wake near the Pye End buoy?

If that was you, that was me and my family taking our new boat out for it's first trip.. sorry we didn't indulge in more high speed hijinx, but I didn't want to scare the kids (yet)! Also, I still only have the 60 on the back and I was never going to keep up!

It uses a codec that is part of media player 10 and above which I do not want to put on my machine - to much hidden crap in there!!! Will look for the 3rd party codec instead. The wmva codec used has now been scrapped anyway as it's not fully compliant.

Just find a 3rd party codec so it's working fine with the older media player - great quality - not a bad camera!!!
