Video of Tube Manufacture

Not sure if these have been posted before, but they show the start to finish process of making tubes. Interesting stuff.

Think this is Paul Tilley's company?

Wow.That's incredible craftsmanship.

Makes the prices for new tubes look cheap!

Fascinating. Even with excellent ventilation, you've got to wonder about the health effects of working with big bowls of glue day after day.

Must have taken years of practice to get that roller working as she does.

When I first began to look into buying a larger boat, I flew out to Vancouver and was given a tour of the Hurricane plant. I couldn't understand why a 20' boat could possibly cost so much. Their tubes are all built by hand as well so it became obvious why they were so expensive. At the same time, I couldn't help but think that that was a terribly archaic way to manufacture something!

I hope the hired help understand that our lives depend on their workmanship!

Truthfully???

Bloody brilliant - about time. Puts many sites to shame - not too complicated or flashy but not boring either. Hats off to the designer!!!

Hope it pays off for you.
