We've just got back from the Wallingford Regatta held at Dorney Lake near Windsor.
Its the location for rowing for the 2012 Olympics so I thought you'd all like to have a look. It's owned by Eton College and looks like it was an old gravel pit restored into what you see below.
The regatta itself went very well. The weather held out and litterally hundreds of people raced the 2km course.
Unfortunately they were all put to shame as they all put in pretty poor times. Eventually the clear winners emerged from the Northern Exposure Rescue team who put in a top speed of 42 knots, sustained for nearly 1.9km!!!
