We meet the Legendary JW at last!

Work took Paul and me to Edinburgh for the Bank Holiday weekend. So we were able to take Sheila and Jeff Walker up on a long-standing invitation.

And it was magic...

From meeting their exotic pets ...to an impromptu cruise across the Firth to beautiful Elie...and a visit to the Scottish Boat Jumble!!!
(Stevetheboat and Jan get everywhere (thought we were bad!) .

And the very famous RIB 'Coot' is the Rolls Royce of Humbers . The detail in that cabin was fantastic.

Yep, tick the box. JWalker is a legend

Thanks for your welcome and hospitality Sheila and Jeff. A truly warm Celtic welcome. Look forward to your visit to the Solent any time at all (at all).

Pictures will be included here which is why it's on the gallery thread!

Brill weekend...

Us

Beautiful boat....do you happen to have any pictures or information on how the Yanmar outboard is mounted, and how it is moved into position when needed?

Ta and no I don't but I'll try and take a few snaps tomorrow. There are other additions going onto the transom and it's getting quite busy so I doubt the details of the bracket wont be easy to make out, but I'll try.

It's here, programmed and fitted, thanks. For info. My latest version of Mapsource was not able to program the 128mb card. V 6.something was fine though. And, the 2010c is only able to read 128mb in slot 2. Why is nothing ever staightforward?

Sunrider, here are a few pics of the Yanmar mounting bracket.
The long screw runs in the bronze block you can see, in pic 2, turning green. There are 4 bolts which take the load in the raised, parked position; 2 from the top and 2 from the side low down. The moving section hooks behind the fixed runners and when fully lowered it bottoms out on a couple of stops. I hope you can make it all out.
