Westmann Island weekend trip

Went to Westmann Islands (Vestmannaeyjar) on May 1st by the ferry Herjolfur, stayed whole weekend with Snorri and his lovery fionce, on Saturday there were meeting to update on Iceland - Faroe Islands trip in June. On Sunday we went on short trip east and north west of Heimaey which is the largest island of Westmann Islands and here are few of the pics I took.

I must say although as native Icelander I felt like a foreigner exploring and to be so close to those hughe cliffs and many islands. This can not be found nearby Reykjavik, we have few islands but they are low and small.

Hot damn, that's a hardy lad on the helm - Icelandic offshore cruising in a sweatshirt on May 1. Kudos!

Sitting here , in front of my computer in Italy, it's a real pleasure , having the chance to see these beautiful places ....

I can tell you it was not that warm, 5 degrees, Snorri is more than ordinary person
