I see the airbag stops the boat rolling right over - what happens if you flip in mid air - or go end over end? Will the bag still turn you upright?

the rib is a Sportis 4.7 and the bag is a standard thing for the Polish SAR unfortunately someone with little knowledge of ribbing made such decision and now all their Sportis 4.7 ribs have to have the bag inflated . A few years ago one of their ribs capsized and my guess it was because of the bag . They also have a bag inflated in the bow area and in most cases a crew member sits on top of it to keep the bow down. If the bag was to be removed the handling would no doubt be much better.

The Polish SAR guys are great , they know their job and will go out to sea without fear in any emergency situation. Those Sportis ribs are about to be upgraded and before you ask no not to Parker ribs - unfortunately only Gemini as the finance for this is coming from abroad and the sponsor decided which brand. I understand that the first batch arrived last year only when they opened the container the engine skegs were found to be damaged and the lot had to be sent back. Something similar to Manos's problem when he took his first delivery of Falcon ribs. Seems a common problem with packing in that part of the World

The idea of the bag is only to protect the engine as the crew will anyway find themselves in the water. The engine is not modified to have Post Immersion Start. However like I said in the other post it is the bag in most cases that causes the boat to flip specially in bad weather

Lukasz do you know Mr Lamomski who owns a hotel in Leba. He has a Parker 900 Baltic with twin Verado 275 and a rib cruise to the Isle of Bornholm is being planned for May or June and I am hoping to join them on another Parker rib.

I co tu robisz, pracujesz czy studiujesz

I'm not sure that i know him. I wasn't there for a while. But if he's owner of Neptun... i saw that boat... and i heard aduot it... the best boat in Łeba... the fastest... heh.

I heard about that cruise they was thinking about doing this on last autumn, and I was thinking about going with them...

the photos bring back old memories. The Parker Team is wearing the white Gecko's and the rib is a Valiant DR600 with twin Mercury 60HP . This was before we started Parker Ribs. It is me on the first photo on the starboard side .

It was good fun and a shame it was not continued
