Hehe, I suppose so but the captain's mate is deeply offended by you referring to her knickers as 'jocks'!

My apologies to the fair lady.
I mistook the tweed for tartan

Had a nice, if a bit twisty-turny, trip up past Rum and Eigg out to the Outer Hebrides yesterday and woke to a fairly good morning in our anchorage. We watched divers (the bird type) fishing and otters fishing and eating also. Unfortunately it's gone down hill since and has been blowing a serious hooly, a bit calmer this evening. The water is magnificent, crystal clear and beautiful green/blue, the photo doesn't do it justice but you're looking at the sandy seabed 30ft below.

The clarity of the water up there always causes my Solent based backside to pucker unnecessarily. Looking at the depth gauge and I'm in 5m to 10m of water. Looking over the side and the bottom looks inches away and I start to lose my faith in the instruments.
It's looking calmer over the weekend.
Where are you?

Apologies GuyC, no telephone signal to answer you. We were in North Uist.
Crossed the Minch in lively seas, was pleased to round the top of Skye into shelter. Had a superb run all day down Skye to Tobermory, head sea all the way and just the right amount of wave to skip over the tops but twisty around Ardnamurchan with a big ocean swell.
Anyway, woke in the mooring to dreich weather but it improved and we had another brill run back to Corpach and the canal. Following the rainbow and Ben Nevis didn't let us down. For the sassenachs, Ben Nevis is the highest hill in the UK.
