Just been reading Jay Rayner's caustic review of Strangers' Dining Room in the Houses of Parliament where you can expect dinner and drinks for two for £180.
Your steak and ale pie with a glass of Guinness looks the business. The Gurnard will be a long with your Michelin star shortly!

The gravy looks great..but the food looks a bit to “rich” for my poor stomach
However as you were tucking into that dish.. I was happily scoffing mackerel that was so fresh..it still twitched while it was saute’d for 60 seconds each side ... in some Jura Superstition.
Unfortunately..I spilled the hip flask while digesting the fish course.. although fortunately ..I spilled it down my throat.
Next course was Guinness Saute’d mackerel which although .. nice ..wasnt as good as the whisky sauce starter.
Everyone has their own taste I guess.

Hey Gurnard, you're boiling the alcohol off...What a waste!
Enjoy.

Does the cab get very stuffy in this heat? or is there enough turbulence around the back to get air circulating and a bit of shade inside?
What are the big black tubes (?) sitting upright at the stern - are they air intakes for the engine?

Nope, we have plenty of ventilation as necessary. Large skylight, big sliding windows and patio doors.
The tubes are engine compartment ventilation, they centrifuge water out of the air flow. One faces forward and one back so there's always venting if there's air movement. No condensation problems or rusty engine parts.

Nice, I was getting worried about you in this heat. Designing in ventilation for the one week of heatwave a decade in Scotland was great foresight!

Can’t believe the pontoons are so quiet given the weather. Do people not realise the Irish troublemaker has gone back to whence he came?
