There are many similar comanies on the Polish coast doing this sort of stuff. some carry 12 passengers other 14 and some 24. Some ribs have twin mighty engines other triple and even quad Verado 300 like on our 12 mtr Interceptor.

Each rib has to be coded by the local maritime authority and liferafts are only required if you operate more then 3 Nm from shore.

here is a link to another operator and note also the protec helmets and the safety brief

450hp and 72mph!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do I get my money back and compensation for wasting my time if it doesn't even do 50mph?

, hardly!

They've been lying very low since...

Still, no shortage of "great deals" on used Ferryman 8m boats though

Did the video make it seem that the RIB passed quite close to the front of that blue patrol boat?

Maybe I'm too conservative!!

Apparently, it's the same as a Parker 8m, but with all the important bits missing.

A quick Google of Cardiff rib rides brings up this lot - http://www.bayislandvoyages.org.uk/ Looks like a pair of Honda 225's - I guess they put the HP into a prop calculator and decided it would do 72mph with a 9 metre Rib - Andre - what do you reckon?

No chance especially with a full load. anyway speed really is not an issue for the so called seasafari ribs. I do not think many passengers will enjoy a 50knot + rib ride. The main aim is to give the passengers a thrill ride and even at 35/40knots that is what they will get. Also they must feel safe and enjoy the ride so they will come back for more.

I would be happy to offer 12 persons ( ribnet members) a ride on our demo Parker 900Baltic with twin Verado 250 (this would be a pure demonstration run in the Solent, the rib is fully insured to carry 12 passengers and a two man crew)

Pick up say Southampton Dry Stack or Portsmouth Gunwhalf Quay

say Saturday 31 October subject to weather of course ie no rain but wind is OK

If you are interested just put your names down on this thread and the first 12persons will have a confirmed seat.

You would have to bring your own all weather gear and lifejackets

This is not a charter nor any paying type rib ride.
This is a rib ride on our demo rib and for demos there is no charge.

a good time would be 11 AM
