I,ve seen this when the tubes where being fitted, the owner even had the
A frame specialy made, It looks better in the flesh than on here.
as nice as it is i would not want the fuel bill, form them Verrados.

I see it has trim tabs, or whatever they are called. Is that because of the weight of the outboards?

Those trib tabs are so small I wonder how effective they will be? And they aren't there to counteract torque cos I assume the engines will be handed.
Stunning looking outfot but I wouldn't have gone for the Verados - nice pair of Etecs or Suzuki 250s.

it has trim tabs and a bow ballast tank although in all fairness the setup does mirror an older scorpion almost exact with regairds to engines, bow tank, trim tabs, colour etc so probably an upgrade. Personally imho i would have though the tabs are to counter act lean and maybe get on the plane quicker purely due to the scorps deep v hull

There shouldn't be any lean with twins. Counter rotating props balance out the torque.
As to getting on the plane quicker I don't think you would have time to adjust the tabs with those engines on the back!!!

windage kind sir.... my boat leans in to the wind big stylee... twin outboards are individually trimable but not as responsive as tabs

Does anyone know what the length is on this boat? The trim tabs look pretty small, one thing they help do is keep the stern from sitting down (going off plane) at lower revs when you have a lot of weight in the back. That said, the tabs on this boat look a little small for the application. Kind of hard to tell how wide they are from the picture angle...

and what if you got an imbalance of crew layout, my big boned friend makes my boat a bitch to drive praying for tabs and costing them each time i go out with him. Also rekon theres always gonna be some windage if there is wind!! so tabs will respond to that!! unless you enjoy slaming on the hard of ur chines! Ribs are gettin bigger with more superstructure and more equipment, jelly usually fits tabs to most of his boats even though they are an optional extra... Rekon that rib at atleast 8.5m had as much side to blow on as my hard boat!

Yes tabs have more uses than just balancing out torque - fair point about the way the boat is loaded.
I have just bought the new Quicksilver QL system - serious bargain at the moment - Volvo offering 20% off so paid £310 for the complete system.
On a large RIB Bennet say you should go for a dual ram system due to the loading involved crashing off waves etc - these would cost me about £600 or £700 - even the cheaper single ram systems are quite expensive.
The QL tabs are very easy to fit and look unbreakable - only downside seems to be you don't actually increase the hull length which normal tabs do to a certain extent.

I think you will find there is - especially when you get that large rib of yours out in a breeze. I'm not familiar ith the Volvo system, but hope it is up to the job.

Granted there isn't much of a keel on a RIB I suppose.
The tabs are supposed to be brilliant - the design is not new and has been used on fast cat ferries etc.

Saw this in Yarmouth on Saturday!
Its Stunning!!! it left just as we did after lunch and by the time we had sorted outselves out and got to Hurst Castle on the way to Alum it had been to the Needles and was on the way back!
Looked fantastic at full chat coming towards us!
For my next boat i will be mostly wanting one of these!!!
