Database of Stolen Boats
There is a free database of stolen boats with a section for stolen RIBs. The database is a joint initiative between the UK police and marine insurers.
Have a look at http://www.stolenboats.org.uk

Excellent site - also very useful to check with if you're in the market for a 2nd hand Boat/RIB. Not many RIBS stolen lately but a lot of outboards up to 60hp.

I was there the day the one from baiter park was stolen...
Remember it well, it was my birthday.
Stupid bastard -his quarterlight had been broken and the hazard lights were flashing. The car was abandoned across the flush area with the seadoo hitched up but not locked or strapped down after dark when we came in. We spent an hour dekitting and no-one came back to it. Not surprised it got stolen-it's almost as though he was trying to lose it...we left gone 8pm and it was on its own in the middle of nowhere.

Adding this info to RIBnet is one of the things that have been on my "to do" list for a while now. For the time being I've stuck this thread at the top of the page, and I'm also looking into replacing the Google ads in this section with a live feed from stolenboats.org.uk

That's great.
If you need any help or would like to discuss a customised feed, let me know.

All good except you can't submit yourself
My RIB was stolen in Nov and I've been trying since then to get it added to stolenboats.org.uk
I have the emails from th epolice also trying to contact them?
No joy but others seem to appear? Is the site real or some odd kind of scam? Theory says it's a great idea but practice not quite so good

It is not a scam, but they are choosy about where the information comes from. Have you tried asking them directly? If you have trouble I have some contact details that might help.

the stolenboats.org.uk site was taken over by datatag, you know have to register to look at the database and i think if my memory serves me only some info is available once registered or the search function is restrictive, cant remember which. not really great if you dont want to registry but you seen something fishy and want to browse to see if something is stolen.
Welcome to Stolen Boats
