I've just been told that our club boat has been stolen, from the shop that it was in for repair at! The boat was stolen from the Chester/North Wales area.
The boat is a 5.8m humber, forward console, in line bottle rack, A frame with two dry-boxes and a 115 Yamaha 2 stroke. The tubes are slightly faded from the sun, and their is a gouge down the starboard side of the hull.
It was on a rather good roller trailer, with a distinctive extra launching/manouvering wheel behind the jockey.
As the boat had not been fixed, if anybody hears a shout involving a boat of this description with a siezed engine requiring a tow.......
I have a case of Scotch for anybody passing information leading to the recovery of the boat, or its sinking with the thieving bastards on board!
I am posting this in a purely personal capacity, and not at the clubs request.
