Damage about £2k.....insured with an excess but not sure if I will get her back in the water this season (my first) and the bastards are out on bail!

So what did I do apart from being bloody niave?

Thanks again for all the support and a big thankyou to an RYA instructor in Hayling Island (Pete?) who challenged the gang and reported it to the police AND towed the boats to shelter AND did a temporary repair job on a tube that had been slashed.........there are some decent people out there!

Nick

Sorry you've had your first season ruined in this way.

We've already got passengers for a couple of trips we're making but you're welcome to join us on any other trips. Keep a look out for our posts and, if you like, PM me your mobile/telephone number(s) and we'll call you when we're going out.

Joking aside Pete is spot on.
There is a very good download on the Ofcom site about scanners.
Basically you can only listen to that which you are licenced to.
You can also listen to, Ham bands and broadcast radio.
Again using is a second offence, you can have your collor felt just having it in your pocket with the wrong stuff stored!

Sorry to hear about the Rib, glad it has been found though.

Regards

Hi Steve. Long time no see. How are you getting on with your Avon? If you fancy a fun day out for all the family check the Cruising section and look at the thread 'Charity Treasure Hunt'. Maybe we'll get to meet at last.

Hi Nick

Its straight forward just follow the markers in at high tide you can go any where but at low tide you will keep over to the right and stop at the pontoon on the right don't go all the way into the end marina as there is no over night moorings there any more so I'm told. If your there for the week where are you staying?
Have you got your car there to?
