Scammer in the UK

Be very careful! I nearly got done the other day when I was looking for an outboard, I was called in response to a wanted ad for an outboard, the guy was well spoken and we spoke several times on the phone,

I was emailed pictures and arranged a time to collect it and then he had an idea of shipping it to me through his dad's engineering business as it was only £56.

I got suspicious so I Googled the type of engine and sure enough after looking at two pages of images there was the engine for sale in the USA in a dealership.

He offered me his address, scan of his passport and his home phone number

He even had a kid crying in the background. Thinking back he only got very minor details wrong and he was very good at what he does.

So don't buy anything unless you collect it and see it working and DO NOT transfer any money to anyone

His name was Ben Owen......

It was so frightening, he is not posh but very well spoken and I must have spoken to him 6 times

He made it feel like it was me that was at fault and got very short when things didn't go his way.

If i were to put a age on him I would say late 20's early 30's.

Drink is a terrible thing when it gets a grip. I was verbally abused by a drunken dwarf (Little Person?) today. She accused me of "looking down on her" - no, seriously, she did, I have witnesses. I didn't know where to look!
