Stolen from my driveway in southampton. I had only just got the motor and fitted it to my searider. Frustratingly I have lots of pictures but no serial number as it was so new to me. Police informed but say given no engine number recovery unlikely. The boat is 3rd party insured only!
If anyone hears or sees anything I would appreciate a heads up, but realise I'm basically stuffed.
I've just had one theft in my life... a 3mth old contractors size trailer. It wasn't just the trailer loss but the anger that folks had been on my property and managed to take it. I spend quite a few nights after irrationally looking out of a crack in the curtains until about 2am in case they came back for other things.
Worth keeping an eye out for it for sale online - can’t be many of an exact year and model for sale each time. Probably keep an eye on Gumtree and the like. Can’t imagine they would have travelled to the area just for the engine so perhaps it’ll appear for sale in your region.

thanks guys. it is the invasion of my home that really stings. i will keep an eye on gumtree etc. the wife wants security lighting fitted (probably v sensible) so i will get on to that this week.
Hi Rik. It looks like the bastards are doing the South Coast. I had mine nicked and 2 other went from a locked boatyard near Wareham Dorset. I know how you feel mate it sickens you to the pit of your stomach. Mine happened before last bank holiday after Easter.
