BREAK-IN AND THEFT OF OUTBOARD ENGINES AND OTHER GOODS

Between 8pm on Tuesday 15th November and 7am on Wednesday 16th November, we were unfortunate enough to find that our premises had been broken in to. Entry was gained by cutting multiple padlocks including the one for main gates, the security cameras disabled, and a 2 inch thick metal door broken open.

The police were obviously informed followed by the affected customers and since the theft we have been doing all we can to assist the police in their investigations and assist our customers, both commercial and private, with their insurance claims. As is in the norm, all boats are left at the owner’s risk, with our insurance covering for damage that we have caused due to our negligence. Any theft is covered by the owner’s insurance, should they have insurance.

We would like to thank our customers who have been understanding and supportive during this unfortunate and stressful time. Typically, this has all occurred whilst Dad (Paul) was already in hospital and the doctors were concerned at just how high Dad’s blood pressure went due to the stress this event has caused.

If you believe you have any information about this break-in and theft, please contact us or Devon and Cornwall Police quoting CR/081096/16.

Tomorrow we hope to be able to list out the engines and engine numbers with corresponding photos.

Kind regards,

Samantha Tilley
