Slight change of plan...
As doggypaddle can't make it, nor can Nos due to single handed launching difficulties, so he may come down and join me leaving from Drivers on the Itchen.

I'll run down to Warsash for about 10:45 I guess.

Who's coming?So far I've cottoned onto:-
Little J - meeting at Warsash
Whisper - probably meeting about lunchtime somewhere
Avocet - Meeting at Warsash or later?
Trevor G - still coming?

can you please update the list so i know who to meet with at Warsash, I'll check the thread before leaving Drivers.

Yes - I'll be there - launching single handed for the 1st time from Crosshouse slip under the Itchen Bridge so maybe you can hold the boat whilst I park the car.....

Change of plan... whilst driving down one of my bearings went - so I need to get replacements. I hope I'll be on the water in Blue Ray rather than the Searider around midday - maybe a bit before - if you can text me where you decide to meet for lunch I'll try and meet you there.

Ah - but that was just the practice run - we should have 2 out today - that is if my wheels don't fall off again!

Luckily we were all out of the water and on the M3 before it rained!
I had a pretty choppy run to Cowes on Monday - Whisper and I nearly missed each other whilst trying to meet between Cowes and Southampton - it was F5 to 6 SE wind and pretty big waves as it was blowing straight up Southampton Water - neither of us could hear the other clear enough on the VHF's even though we were only a few miles apart - Searider's don't give the best wind protection, but luckily the mobile's worked OK!
Anyway - we had a great run to Yarmouth and back in the lee of the Island and enjoyed the mandatory nachos in the Wheatsheaf.
We were going to try a Round the Island run on Thursday - but the forecast is now a SE F4 gusting F5 and raining, which I think may make it a bit of a challenge in our 4.7m Seariders - especially as it is a higher wind on Wednesday so the swell will still be up.
Here's some picky's from the Folly on Saturday and Yarmouth on Monday...

It was good to meet up and great company as always and the run to Yarmouth was great fun too.

The weather doesn't look the best for tomorrow but I still might head out for a quick blast. Fridays looking better though.

Sorry Stu, by the time the waves calmed down on the south side of the island my father came over to have a go on his half of the boat so we ended up going to the Needles instead.

We will have to arrange a trip round the island soon and you are more than welcome to come along on our rib as it will be too much for my dad in the 4.7

Here's a quick video of the run back from the Needles
